My Texas Future
My Texas Future is a one-stop shop platform for Texans planning and preparing for higher education. It allows users to explore career interests, identify in-demand occupations within their region, and connect directly with institutions of higher education to support their goals.
Launched by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) in 2022, this digital platform provides resources tailored to workin-age adults, college students, and middle and high school students. My Texas Future makes career planning more personalized, meaningful, and aligned with students' goals and aspirations while grounding decisions in practical information such as real-world earnings and regional job demand.

Apply with Confidence
Many students apply to college without knowing whether they will be accepted. Direct Admissions is a new application process that removes much of the uncertainty. Here is how it works:
- Share your academic information
- View your admissions offers
- Submit an application to confirm your enrollment
More than 30 Texas universities participate in Direct Admissions.
My Texas Future partners with colleges and universities across Texas, which share their admissions requirements so students can see where they are likely to be accepted.
How is Direct Admissions different from the traditional process?
- It provides clarity by showing students which schools they qualify for immediately.
- It reduces wait times, eliminating the need to wait months for admission decisions.
- It can save time and money by helping students focus their applications.
- It allows students to be more selective about where they apply.
- It helps colleges connect with students by sharing additional information about opportunities.
